Timing of Mentions
Mentions are time-based notes within your pinmap. They are visible for a window of time when you play through your scene, popping open when active.
The mention is set to be visible from the point in time at which you created it, and it will be active (duration of visibility) for one unit of time.
For example, if I add a mention when my timeline is positioned at Time: 2 minutes, the mention will not be visible for the first 1 minutes and 59 seconds. When the mention opens at 2 minutes, it will be visible for 1 minute before disappearing again.
To edit the start time and duration of a mention:
1. Open the mention
2. Expand the menu by click the 3 dots in the bottom right corner
3. Select the option Change time mention shows
4. A message will appear above the timeline and a second circle will appear on the time slider (if your timeline is open, two neon lines will appear instead ).
These markers indicate the start and end time of the mention – the period of time that mention will be visible during playback.
5. Click and drag the markers to adjust the start time and duration of the mention.
6. Click anywhere on the background to confirm.
Display indefinitely – lock mention
Display indefinitely locks the mention open so that it is visible from its start time until the end of the scene.
Use this feature if you want the mention to remain open, without having to adjust the duration.
To set a mention to display indefinitely:
1. Open the mention
2. Expand the menu by click the 3 dots in the bottom right corner
3. Select the option Display indefinitely
Your mention is now visible for the remainder of the scene.
To turn indefinite display off:
1. Open the mention
2. Expand the menu by click the 3 dots in the bottom right corner
3. Select the option Unlock display indefinitely
Your mention is now visible for a set duration.
